Jan. 13, 2010 meeting Chapter President Ken Wilson read the winning essay from the Chapter's Outstanding JROTC cadet contest. The winner of the Chapter's Knight Essay contest, Ms. Katie Marshall of Roanoke Rapids, read her essay: "Our Cause is Just", and President Wilson presented her with the winner's medal and certificate, and a US Savings Bond.
Nov. 11, 2009 meeting NCSSAR State President Frank Horton was present and swore in the Chapter Officers for 2010-2011. S. Atlantic District VPG Dr. Sam Powell was also present and made a few remarks. Immediate Past Chapter President Ron Jones was presented the SAR Meritorious Service Medal by President Horton.
Sept. 9, 2009 meeting NCSSAR State President Frank Horton was present and inducted new member Dave Hoaglan. He presented the SAR War Service Medal to members Dave Hoaglan and Rod Williams, and then presented the SAR Partners in Patriotism award to the Halifax Resolves Chapter for its efforts to work with local Veterans groups.
July 8, 2009 meeting The speaker was Mrs. Martha Denton, who spoke on the Weldon Confederate Cemetery. The chapter voted to donate $50 to the Roanoke Rapids Veteran's Center.
May 13, 2009 meeting The speaker was Mrs. Margaret Phillips, of the Halifax Restoration Association, whose topic was the architecture of colonial Halifax.
March 11, 2009 meeting A most interesting program on the life of Caty Greene, wife of Gen. Nathanael Greene, was presented by Chapter President Ron Jones. Various possible fundraising projects were also discussed.
January 14, 2009 meeting The chapter discussed changing the day of the week the chapter meets, but it was decided to stick with Wednesday. Retired NC legislator Tim Valentine spoke on his uncle, Gen. Frank Armstrong, USAF , of Hobgood, NC, after whom the main character in the movie "12 o'clock High" was modeled.
November 22, 2008 The Chapter placed a SAR Patriot grave marker at the grave of Patriot Marcum Cooper, in Nash Co., NC.

Business meeting only. The meeting place was changed to the Halifax United Methodist Church, in Halifax, NC.
November 8, 2008 The Chapter placed a SAR Patriot grave marker at the grave of Patriot Nathaniel Macon, in Warren Co., NC.
September, 2008 meeting NCSSAR President Sam Powell inducted new member Frank Widrig into the SAR. NSSAR War Service Medals were presented to members Frank Widrig and Lonnie Edwards. Chapter VP Ken Wilson gave a most interesting talk on the history of the U.S. Flag, and spoke also on the proper protocol to use when displaying the flag. Chapter President Ron Jones spoke on Revolutionary War General James Hogan. The Chapter meeting place was changed to the Halifax United Methodist Church.
July, 2008 meeting No speaker. This was a business meeting only, and several matters of importance were discussed, particularly the adoption of a chapter policy on conducting SAR Patriot grave marking ceremonies.
May, 2008 meeting Chapter President Ron Jones presented a program on Gen. Nathanael Greene, in full colonial uniform.
April 12, 2008 The Chapter sponsored the fifth annual celebration of the Adoption of the Halifax Resolves, at the site of the colonial courthouse in Halifax, NC.
March 29, 2008 The Chapter placed a SAR Patriot grave marker at the grave of Patriot Francis Rackley, Jr., in Nash Co., NC
February, 2008 meeting Chapter VP Ken Wilson recognized the winner and runner-up of the chapter's Knight Essay contest. Planning was begun for the 2008 observance of the adoption of the Halifax Resolves, to be held 4/12/2008. It was announced that the keynote speaker would be Bruce Wilcox, President-General of the NSSAR.
November, 2007 meeting NCSSAR President Sam Powell installed the slate of officers for 2008-2009.
August, 2007 meeting The Chapter presented the NSSAR Law Enforcement Commendation Medal to Northampton Co. Deputy Cory Jackson in recognition of his bravery and quick thinking in subduing a prisoner with a gun in the Northampton Co. courthouse. We also presented the NSSAR War Service Medal to member Ken Wilson, in recognition of his service in the war in Vietnam. The following members were elected to office for 2008-2009, and will be installed at our November meeting: President: Ron Jones, VP: Ken Wilson, Sec/Treas: Steve Avent.
May, 2007 meeting NCSSAR President Sam Powell spoke on his plans for his term in office.
April 14, 2007 The Chapter sponsored the fourth annual celebration of the Adoption of the Halifax Resolves, at the site of the colonial courthouse in Halifax, NC.
February, 2007 meeting This was a joint meeting with the Gen. Matt W. Ransom Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. The speakers were Jeff Dickens, who spoke on Halifax County in the Civil War, and Carl Burke, of the Historic Halifax museum, who spoke on the upcoming commemoration of the adoption of the Halifax Resolves, to be held 4/14/2007.
November, 2006 meeting The speaker was genealogist Mrs. Margaret Hofmann, who spoke on the genealogy of the counties of Halifax and Northampton, NC. Ron "Butch" Jones was elected VP of the chapter, to replace Ed Garner, who has moved out of the area.
August, 2006 meeting The purpose of this meeting was to discuss several items of importance to the chapter, including meeting dates and the selection of a new chapter VP. Several interested prospective members were present, including a descendant of Col. William R. Davie, Revolutionary War officer and founder of UNC.
June, 2006 meeting The speaker was Steve Pittard, Eastern Area VP for the NCSSAR, who spoke on various SAR fundraising projects at the State and National level. New member Ron "Butch" Jones was also inducted into the SAR by NCSSAR President Joe Harris.
April 15, 2006 The Chapter sponsored the third annual celebration of the Adoption of the Halifax Resolves, at the site of the colonial courthouse in Halifax, NC.
February, 2006 meeting The speaker was author Patrick O'Kelley, author of 'Nothing but Blood and Slaughter', a multi-volume study of the Revolutionary War in the Carolinas. 
November, 2005 meeting This was a joint meeting with the Elizabeth Montfort Ashe Chapter of the NCSDAR. The speaker was Gary Hackenburg, a local actor and radio personality who portrayed Thomas Jefferson. Chapter elections were held, and Cleveland Hawkins was elected President of the Chapter, Ed Garner, Vice President, and the Rev. Duncan Jones, Chaplain.
August, 2005 meeting The speaker was Max Williams, who created the outdoor drama "First for Freedom" and is the author of several novels and books of poetry. He spoke on his book (and play) "First for Freedom" and the important role of Halifax, NC, in the American Revolution. Lonnie Edwards and Chris Edwards were inducted into the SAR.
May, 2005 meeting The speaker was Dr. R. Hardee Rives, retired from ECU, who spoke on the Halifax Resolves and other aspects of local history. Ed Garner, Carlton Garner and Bert Perdue were inducted into the SAR
April 12, 2005 The Chapter sponsored the second annual celebration of the Adoption of the Halifax Resolves, at the site of the colonial courthouse in Halifax, NC.
February, 2005 meeting The speaker was Howard Draper, from the Museum of the Albemarle, whose topic was: Mecklenburg Declaration or Halifax Resolves, which came first?
October, 2004 meeting The speaker was Prof. Wayne Grimsley, of Halifax Community College, who spoke on British Dragoon LTC Banastre Tarleton.
April 12, 2004 The Chapter sponsored the first annual celebration of the Adoption of the Halifax Resolves, at the site of the colonial courthouse in Halifax, NC.
April,. 2004 meeting The speaker was Prof. David Ballew, of Chowan college, on the significance of the winter at Valley Forge in the American Revolution.
January, 2004 meeting The speaker was Prof. Allen S. Johnson, of NC Wesleyan University, who spoke on the causes of the Revolution, and the fact that they were not necessarily what you might expect. C.R. Casey was inducted into the SAR.
September, 2003 meeting

Organizational meeting of the chapter. Officers elected, bylaws and constitution voted on and approved. Local historian Carl Witt spoke on the role of the town of Halifax during the American Revolution.
