2008 Fund Raising Event

The North Carolina Society Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) is pleased to provide this calendar.  Funds raised by this calendar will be used by the NCSSAR to host the Sons of the American Revolution National Congress in Winston-Salem, N.C. in the year 2011.  The year 2011 is special to the North Carolina Sons of the American Revolution as is the Centennial Anniversary year of the organization of our Society in 1911.

The dates and events provided in the calendar were taken from a variety of sources. Two comprehensive sources that can be used for additional information are the Encyclopedia of North Carolina, 2006, William S. Powell, Editor, published by the University of North Carolina Press, and the four-volume series entitled "Nothing but Blood and Slaughter" The Revolutionary War in the Carolinas, 2004-2005, by Patrick O'Kelley, Blue House Tavern Press.
