The weather report predicted rain mixed with snow but that didn't deter a faithful crowd of patriotic Americans from celebrating the heroism of the brave warriors who fought at the Cowpens. Earlier in the day, the same group met in Morgan Square in Spartanburg, SC, for a memorial service in honor of Daniel Morgan, the hero of Cowpens. In both instances, the Color Guards of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Kentucky joined NSSAR President's General Chuck Bragg and David Sympson to imbue this event with appropriate ceremony and dignity.
