Patriotic Americans wear many uniforms - those of the Revolutionary War, the Civil War (both North and South), U.S. Navy JROTC, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and the tall hats of the Fayetteville Independent Light Infantry, just to name a few. These uniformed groups, in conjunction with NCSDAR and other every-day Americans, met to honorably retire a large number of American flags which had become unserviceable, in a ceremony that was both rich in tradition and honorably executed.
