It was bright, hot, sunny day which became almost "too" hot. Yet in spite of the uncomfortable heat, a number of Patriotric organizations met to celebrate the acts of heroism that were diplayed at Ramsour's Mill in what is now Lincolnton North Carolina. Present too, were families and friends of the participants, as well as a number of Americans interested in Revolutionary War history. The pageantry and symbolism of the day was not lost.
