Perhaps it's because this is a mature ceremony, as far as SAR ceremonies go, that so many people from so many states (6 in all) find their way to Lincolnton, NC to celebrate the battle of Ramsour's Mill. It might have something to do with the fact that 4 Ramsour descendants attend each year from Florida and Georgia, stauch members of the SAR and DAR within those states. And it may be that a goodly number of the rest of the people who attend had ancestors who fought in this battle, but for whatever the reason, the 2007 celebration of the Battle at Rasmour's Mill was a well-attended event. See if you can recognize your friends from within their ranks.
