Two things were very different this year at the Daniel Morgan Memorial Ceremony - firstly, the statue had been moved from one end of Morgan Square to the other, and the entire park had been redesigned. And then there was the weather - a warm, almost "balmy" day that was unusual for the month of January. These changes were embraced by the Patriotic Organizations who showed up to celebrate the 226th Anniversay of the day that Daniel Morgan led a Patriot Army to defeat the pride of England at the Battle of Cowpens.
