Colonel Webster walked his horse into the the waters of Reedy Fork Creek, abt. 6 miles northwest of Gibsonville in Guilford County, NC, June 19th, 2007. The water was considerably deeper then as it had rained heavily in 1781. He was a slow moving target, yet he escaped being hit by Colonel William Campbell's sharpshooters
